Raising Seraphina

This blog entry starts from a super nice session.

And no, I am not talking about Seraphina, but about my self.

This summer has been quite a challenge! Between the war and my flights, I feel like I barely had time to work with Seraphina. And don’t even get me started on the difficulties of actually raising her!

My favourite thing to do with my dogs is to play together and that may seem trivial for some people but anyone who has ever struggled with playing together with their dog will definitely connect with what I am going to write next.

One challenge that we meet a lot when training a new dog is the balance between everything we want to teach and what the dog is able to actually learn.

One of the things that are most important for me is the well-being of my dogs! Not just mentally but also physically! I want my dogs to be in good condition; fit, aware, and confident about all the things they can do with their bodies!

We arrived back home after a week in Europe at 4AM and less than 5 hours later we were already on the way to a 6 months reunion with all the siblings from the litter in which Seraphina was born.

If you follow me on IG you could see we celebrated the 700K followers and it was a great celebration until the balloons were outside the house 😂

Back To Life

Imagine coming back home after one week abroad when you had the best time ever just so that less than 24 hours later your country will go in to war mode.

After the pressure from organising and competing in the competition has settled down, it was time to give a few days of work with Seraphina before I had to travel to Europe again.

This week was especially hard to get any work because of the upcoming competition that I was organizing but I tried my best to at least give little puppy what she needs.

Still knowing that I don’t have all the time in the world to work with Seraphina, I tried to make the best out of the time we have available together.

As a new week started I tried to put some more emphasis on the self control with the toy and setting boundaries for working together.

This week was a special week for us because during this week we got to have a visitor from Europe for the first time since Seraphina stayed with me and all of her siblings left.

After a few days of being sick I finally felt like I have some energy. I was preparing for an eventful week; I had a photographer friend from Europe coming to visit to take some photos of Seraphina, the Israeli independence day and a bachelorette party. So my main goal was to try and work as much as I can with the pack and especially with Seraphina.

The next few days were not easy at all!

The most frustrating part about raising a puppy is the moment you realize there aren’t enough hours during the day to so everything you want to do with it.

The days following my return to Israel were a bit rough when it came to working with Seraphina.

A traveling day is always super busy but this one was even busier than usual.
