Holding the emotions

The most frustrating part about raising a puppy is the moment you realize there aren’t enough hours during the day to so everything you want to do with it.
Heading to a super packed time with a lot of weddings, holidays, memorial days and hosting a competition I see that I can’t train Seraphina as often as I would like to, but I am trying my best.
This time we started the day with a luring session for tricks and even made a small progress with her slalom!
I enjoy watching her figuring out what brings a reward and what doesn’t and I can feel how her learning skills are improving all the time 😍
I then had to start working and for a few hours I was out of the house. When I came back I had to arrange quickly and head out for a family event so to save time I decided to take out all the dogs together and work with her on her focus in front of the rest of the pack.
She did so good!!!!!! At first she just wanted to run around with her daddy, but very fast she figured out that the best part about being out with the other dogs is being able to be with me there too and she kept an incredible focus even while the other dogs walked and run around her.
When I finally came back home late that day I didn’t have so much energy but we worked with food and a hidden toy which I surprised her with!
I am working with her a lot on self control and keeping her excitement on a normal level (as much as possible) so that she doesn’t jump on my hands.
With the toy, at this time, I prefer the puller that she enjoys to bring back the most so play time is seriously improving because there is less conflict.
I know we have a difficult time ahead of us with my lack of time but I am sure that by planning the time together properly, we will have an amazing progress ❤️
